Disparate around the world! A Story of Clothing Sizes
A famous overseas clothing brand has finally arrived in Japan! But when you go to buy them, you may be excited to find that the sizes of the clothes are different from the usual...? What is this? I think there are a lot of people like this. One of the problems with buying clothes from overseas is that size descriptions differ from country to country. If the size of the clothes is different from what you are used to seeing, you may wonder if the clothes you are about to buy will fit your body or not. If the size of the clothes you are buying is different from what you are used to, you may be at a loss. This can be confusing and confusing. Another complication is that even if the sizes (numbers) are the same, each country has its own sizes.
Different body sizes, different units, different calculation methods
Size notation basically indicates the body size (=nude dimensions), not the size of the item. Simply put, the body size of the people in each country differs, and as a result, clothing sizes are different accordingly. Also, the calculation method for size differs from country to country, so even though Germany, Italy, and France are close enough to each other to be considered neighbors, their clothing sizes are quite different. In the U.S. and the U.K., the units of measurement themselves are different. For example, the size of a top made in Italy is the actual chest circumference divided by two. In other words, the size of a garment for a 72cm chest measurement is "36". In the U.K. and the U.S., this size is calculated differently, and is sometimes expressed in inches, so the numbers can vary greatly.
Now, the USA and EU sizes we will be listing are,The USA, UK, Germany, France, and Italy sizes are shown in this list. With the exception of Japan, all of these countries are characterized by the fact that sizes are represented by two-digit numbers. However, the problem is that just because the numbers are the same does not necessarily mean that they are the same size (or rather, that they are not the same), for example, a 34 in the US size is the same size as a 38 in the French size. Therefore, we have created a list of clothing sizes based on international standards for the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Japan! We hope you will find it useful when buying clothes overseas. Although we have stated that clothing sizes are based on body size, we recommend that you try on as many items as possible when purchasing clothing in other countries, as the arm lengths and chest room vary from country to country. Also, there may be large differences depending on the brand, product, and design, so please refer to this chart as a "guide" only, as it is an average size chart.
